Supported by its strength in "Control Theory and Control Engineering", a national and shanghai key discipline, the lab has been committed to research that serves the country's major needs and solves the urgent problems of industries and enterprises. It has won 6 Second Prizes of National Progress in Science and Technology, 18 first prizes and 12 second prizes of provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards, 3 Chinese Patent Awards, and 2 first prizes of the Shanghai Invention Patent Award.
