From August 26th to August 28th, the 30th Anniversary of Process Systems Engineering Professional Committee and PSE2022 Annual Conference was successfully held in Beijing. This annual meeting was organized by the PSE Committee of the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering in a combination of online and offline, with Tsinghua University, East China University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, Dalian University of Technology, Sichuan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University hosting eight sessions, in which Prof. Tian Wende, vice dean of the School of Chemical Engineering of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and faculty member Cui Zhe, respectively, were the Prof. Tian Wende, vice dean of the School of Chemical Engineering of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Cui Zhe, faculty member of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, were respectively the moderator and contact person of the session. The honorary chairmen of the conference were Academician Wang Jiming and Academician Chen Bingzhen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Prof. Wang Zizong of SINOPEC was the chairman of the conference.

    This conference is oriented to the process industry, focusing on process systems engineering theory and methodology, process systems engineering and intelligent manufacturing, process systems engineering and big data, process systems engineering and environment, safety and health, etc. It provides a communication platform for the domestic counterparts, demonstrates the latest results of basic theoretical researches and industrial technological applications, promotes the transformation of the latest scientific and technological achievements in the field of PSE, and provides support for the scientific and technological progress of the process industry and the development of the national economy and society. Process Systems Engineering is one of the most characteristic research directions of the School of Chemical Engineering of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, which organizes teachers and postgraduates to actively participate in the PSE annual meeting every year. Through this conference, the School of Chemical Engineering has further strengthened the exchange of scientific research work with domestic brother institutions, and greatly promoted the precise condensation and in-depth development of the School's scientific research direction.
