Key Laboratory of Smart Manufacturing in Energy Chemical Process of Ministry of Education Held the Second Meeting of the Third Academic Committee

The Second Meeting of the Third Academic Committee of Key Laboratory of Smart Manufacturing in Energy Chemical Process, Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) was held in Shanghai Grand Skylight Garden Hotel. Academician Sun Youxian of Zhejiang University, Honorary Director of the 3rd Academic Committee, Academician Chai Tianyou of Northeastern University, Director of the Committee, Academician Gui Weihua of Central South University, Deputy Director of the Committee, Professor Zhao Jinsong of Tsinghua University, Professor Guan Xinping of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Su Hongye of Zhejiang University , Professor Xu Shengyuan of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Professor Zeng Zhigang of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Lu Renquan of Guangdong University of Technology, Academician Qian Feng, Director of the Laboratory and Vice President of East China University of Science and Technology, Professor Chen Feng, Associate Dean of Institute of Science and Technology Development of ECUST, and the Laboratory academic team leaders and backbone researcher attended this meeting.

At the meeting, Chen Feng first expressed a warm welcome to the Academic Committee experts on behalf of the Institute of Science and Technology Development of ECUST. At the same time, he hoped that the committee experts could spare no effect to give more advices and suggestions to help the Laboratory build even a brighter future. After that, Professor Du Wenli, Deputy Director of the Laboratory, presided over the experts appointment ceremony of the Third Academic Committee, and academician Qian Feng handed over the letters of appointment to each committee expert member one by one.

The academic committee meeting was chaired by Academician Chai Tianyou. Professor Du Wenli gave a work report, introducing the Laboratory's work progress, academic achievements, team building, talent training, collaboration and exchange, and construction of the facility in the past one year. She also summarized the Laboratory’s management work, Laboratory’s further research focus, and put forward the development goals and work priorities for the next stage. Young academic backbones of the Laboratory including Professor Cao Zhixing, Associate Professor Song Jun, Associate Professor Yang Minglei, and Associate Professor Wang Bing made their respective academic presentation on Single-cell Gene Expression Random Dynamic Modeling and Solving, Research on Networked Sliding Mode Control Synthesis and Optimization, Characterization and Optimization of Refining and Chemical Integrated Value Chain and Artificial Intelligence Empowers Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals.
