报告1题目：An introduction to engineering education at German universities 

报告摘要：

Electronics, Data, Autonomy – Inter-correlated variables towards a smart society and industry “Made in Germany” is a quality guarantee for products and machines. Behind “Made in Germany” are many engineers with a Bachelor- or Master-study in a faculty of engineering at a German university. Is the education in the faculties of engineering in Germany a successful story like “Made in Germany”?

Everybody could have his own answer going through the presentation, which includes a brief introduction to the German higher education system and European (education) harmonization process, the so-called Bologna process typical infrastructures of faculties of engineering at a German university education in a faculty of engineering research activities (and funding situations) at in faculties of engineering.

报告2题目： Control, detection and estimation

报告摘要：

In this talk, different aspects of control and estimation are first reviewed. It calls for a critical view of recent research activities in FDI (fault detection and identification) and FTC (fault-tolerant control) thematic fields. In the second part, research activities at AKS are briefly introduced.

Prof. Steven X. Ding目前是德国杜伊斯堡-埃森大学（University of Duisburg-Essen）工程学院自动控制与复杂系统研究所（Institute of Automatic Control and Complex Systems，AKS）的所长。他于1992年在杜伊斯堡大学获得了电气工程博士学位，于1992到1994年间在德国莱茵金属公司工作，从1995到2001年间被德国University of Applied Science Lausitz聘为终身教授，并于1998-2000年任该校副校长，从2001年开始，他受聘成为杜伊斯堡大学控制工程领域首席教授，并接替国际故障诊断领域著名教授P. M. Frank任AKS研究所所长，他的研究领域包括基于模型和数据驱动的故障诊断，容错系统及其在工业上的应用，特别是汽车系统，化学过程和可再生能源系统。Prof. Ding是国际期刊《ISA Transactions》的8位Subject Area Editors之一，受邀担任国际顶级期刊《IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics》专刊“Real-time fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control”的Guest Editor，是国际控制领域著名学术组织“国际自动控制联合会（International Federation of Automatic Control，IFAC）”下属的“技术过程的故障诊断、监控和安全技术委员会“的委员。
