题目:Big data for industrial cyber-physical systems

摘要:Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (ICPS) represents a holistic view that may lead to new fundamental integrated approaches to industrial automation, industrial optimisation, industrial fault diagnosis, industrial informatics, and so forth.

  Undoubtedly, ICPS is a big data system. Compared to common perspectives of ICPS, e.g., control, optimisation, model, and/or network oriented ones, big data perspective turns out to be ultimately more pervasive, more comprehensive, more fundamental, and thus potentially more powerful and integrated towards tackling the real challenges of ICPS. However, at the time being, the essential issues and problems of big data oriented ICPS are still largely undefined and unshaped.

  This talk will first look in to the basic concepts of big data and ICPS. Then, we’ll focus upon some of the important aspects that are most promising for constituting an effective sound framework of big data oriented ICPS, including, in particular, data stream management, complex event processing (CEP), contextualisation of big data in ICPS, and Data as a Service (DaaS).

  Huaglory Tianfield is Professor of Computing at Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, United Kingdom since March 2001. Prof Tianfield is extensively involved in professional activities. He is Chair of IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society’s Technical Committee on Cyber-Physical Cloud Systems, Editor-in-Chief of Multi-agent and Grid Systems -- An International Journal, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Systems. Prof Tianfield is Director of Cloud & Data Research Lab. His research areas include Cloud Computing and Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Cloud Computing, and Big Data Systems. He (co-)authored over 180 research articles published in refereed journals and conferences, and is an invited speaker at a wide spectrum of international forums and institutions worldwide.
