Virtualisation is the core technology of Cloud Computing. In this talk, we’ll discuss the concept of virtualization, examine the characteristics of different types of hypervisors, and look at the challenges and security implication of virtualisation. Through such, audience will develop in-depth comprehension about how cloud computing makes resource provisioning elastically.

 

报告人简介：

 

H Tianfield is Professor of Distributed Systems at Glasgow Caledonian University, United Kingdom since March 2001. Prior to that, he held various senior research or academic positions in China (1992-1997), Germany (1997-1998, 1999-2000), France (1998-1999), and England, U.K. (2000-2001). He is the Director of VOTER Lab – Virtualisation Open Technology Research. His research areas include cloud computing, Internet of Things, and wireless communications. He is (co-)author of over 160 research papers published in refereed journals and conferences. Professor Tianfield is Chair of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society’s Technical Committee on Self-Organized Distributed and Pervasive Systems, Editor-in-Chief of Multiagent and Grid Systems—An International Journal, International Transactions on Systems Science and Applications, and Systemics and Informatics World Network, and Associate Editor of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Journal of Control Theory and Applications. He has served as (Co-)Chair for about 30 international conferences and symposia.
