Denis Gillet教授的简历:
Denis Gillet is Professor (MER) of Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), where he got his PhD Degree in Information Systems and Control in 1995. His current research interests include Technologies Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Human Computer Interaction (HCI), as well as Optimal Coordination and Hierarchical Control of Complex and Distributed Systems. Dr. Gillet is an Executive of the STELLAR European Network of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning and Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies (TLT). He was the principal investigator at EPFL for the design of a Deferential Delay Line now implemented at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile for the detection of exoplanets. Currently, his React team is conducting research on population-based modeling and semi-autonomous insulin delivery for the treatment of diabetes, as well as on hierarchical traffic coordination of semi-automated guided vehicles.
Title: Real-Time Coordination and Sustainable Interaction Systems
Summary
In this talk, current advances and trends in supporting higher engineering education with social media will first be presented as a convergence of the Internet of things and the Web of people. Then, current research on multiple semi-autonomous vehicle coordination at urban intersections will be addressed. The focus is on taking into account dynamics and energy constraints to implicitly set priorities which results in smooth trajectories and high efficiency. Finally, an extended but minimal model taking into account meal intakes in the treatment of Type 1 patients with diabetes will be presented.
